I'm Elisheba Haxby, a developmental editor and author of 14 published books across two names: 6 romantic suspense novels as Trinity Cole and 8 books co-written with Jesse Vincent as Elisheba Haxby.
For over ten years, since 2016, I've worked as a developmental and substantive editor with Above The Sun. I've edited countless books and helped countless authors take their stories from first inspiration all the way to publication.
I know what romance readers expect because I write for them: a romance arc that earns the ending, tension that keeps pages turning, characters whose choices make sense, and an HEA or HFN that lands.

I specialize in big-picture editing (developmental and substantive), the kind of feedback that fixes the story itself, not just the sentences. I'll tell you honestly and kindly what's working, what isn't, and exactly how to fix it.
Romance is my specialty (including steamy romance and romantic suspense), and I also edit Christian/inspirational, women's fiction, fantasy, thriller/suspense, and general fiction.

I run my own author newsletters in MailerLite, so I understand the business side of indie publishing: reader expectations, series hooks, and what makes a book easy to market.
I've run email marketing and BookFunnel and BookClicker promos for my own pen names and for other author clients, so I know how these tools work from the author's side.
